Our LitIndia library in Buxar is among our largest libraries, with more than 500 students enrolled. Buxar is a Nagar Parishad city in Bihar, on the outskirts of eastern Uttar Pradesh. One of the biggest challenges the children of Buxar face is the lack of books and a place where they can sit together and study. The quality of education is also poor since the school does not have sufficient resources to provide quality education to the students. This has created a situation where students who are eager to learn, struggle to get a decent education. They are unable to access the books that will help them in their studies, which hinders their learning process.

Keeping these challenges in mind, we set up our library in Buxar. The setting up of the library took us about two months. It is located in one of the biggest rooms in the school building and has plenty of books and other resources for the students. This has opened up new avenues for the children of Buxar and has given them a sense of hope and direction. They now have dreams and aspirations for the future. We also have counselling sessions for the students to help them identify their strengths and build on them so that they can achieve their goals.
